High Fantasy Haute Couture

Otto Schmidt

A naked mermaid with long red hair suns herself on the shore.
A stylized woman in black with white glowing stripes leans over a futuristic motorcycle
Mai Shiranui stands jauntily.
Daria Morgendorffer and Jane Lane all grown up and sexy.
A buxom woman with robotic arms stands defiantly.
A slender woman with impossibly long hair stands in a flimsy nightgown.
A slender green dragon woman with perky breasts exposed, with purple spikes along her spine, kneels.

One of the most interesting intersections of fantasy and the mundane is the world of high fashion. Otto Schmidt happily illustrates this convivial collision in a sensual signature style.

With a reckless abandon he’s crafted an eclectic collection of supermodels bound by no genre or setting. Long-haired fairy tales damsels languish beside shapely science fiction cyborgs while pouty perky mermaids rest with buxom video game gals and scaly anthropomorphic dragon women. Even two highschoolers from Lawndale wear Mr. Schmidt’s sleek retro spark and modern sensibilities quite well.

While these lovely ladies could never be found on a New York catwalk, Otto has certainly shown that this is entirely to the detriment of the fashion world.
