Michael Calandra

A naked woman with light blond hair sits among the wolves.
A steampunk woman with a top hat and bustier stands.
A nude woman with long dark hair and large breasts grasps a large dagger.
A woman with black hair dangles a large spider from a web strand.

I’ve often suspected that many artists are drawn to fantasy art by the desire to create sexy, naked women. In no other genre will you find so many luscious, writhing beauties — be they human, fairy, demon, or something else altogether. Michael Calandra has certainly taken great advantage of this trend, and nearly every woman he’s illustrated is breathlessly beautiful, and very naked.

These creatures are tempting, but be warned: Michael has a taste for the darker side of fantasy, and many of his seductive creations may inspire fear as well as desire. Don’t let this stop you from visiting Mr. Calandra’s site. Brave the danger.
