Amanda Gannon’s recent article Sucker Love: Celebrating the naughty tentacle has caused us to reevaluate our conspicuous silence regarding one of Johnathan Darkly’s recent creations: an eerie movie innocently titled Rendezvous.

Sumi and Navi — Jon’s busty space ninja and slender alien beauty — have graced his site for years, but the complex, looping animation of their first zero gravity kiss is something previously unseen. As they tumble in each other’s arms, you can certainly appreciate the craftsmanship of the figures from nearly every angle.

Let’s hope Mr. Darkly can keep up this relatively frenzied pace of artistic innovation, and that we aren’t left waiting for most of a year for his next curious creation.
